Robin Layne
Editor/Writer
Robin Layne has loved writing ever since she first took up a pen. She put together her first picture book in second grade by staying in the classroom during recesses. She majored in journalism at Santa Ana College in California, where she received the Sky Dunlap award for reporting in el Don newspaper. She then moved to the Oregon coast, where she published a lot of poetry and took courses in preparation for her transfer to University of Oregon. There she majored in English. In recent years, she became part of the Write Around Portland Community, and discovered and embraced zining (see the News page for more information). After raising her daughter, she has returned to college to complete her Bachelor's degree at Portland State University. She has many publishing credits. She is managing editor for "Sweet Comfort," newsletter for the Washington County Consumer Council, and is also working on a young adult novel. For a partial list of her editing and writing experience, see the "About Us" page.
